Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Bruce is a 3yr old 11 pound Yorkie Havenese mix. He is a good boy but he has some socialization troubles and requires someone who will work very hard with training. He also requires someone who is very active as he likes to run and would likely do best in a single person home until he can be properly socialized. He struggles with strangers and has to be carefully introduced as a he is quite protective. He hasn't bit anyone but has tried to charge people/dogs in the past. Once slowly introduced to people he warms up quite quickly and some dogs he is fine with. He hasn't had issues with aggression while boarded or at the groomer so it seems like at home is where he is most protective. He has been around young kids his entire life and seems to do okay but again, he would need a slow and careful introduction to any strangers, adult or child. Looking to re-home because I feel it is not fair to him to not have the proper home where he would thrive. He is up to date on all shots!
