A23579 Esmerelda is a black colored, approximately 3-year-old, 63- pound, spayed female, Lab mix.
She entered the shelter as a stray on 11-12-2024.
Esmerelda is a friendly, excited, easy to handle girl here in the shelter. Our staff says she loves affection and wants all the attention. If you sit on the ground with her, she immediately jumps into your lap for love. She was easy to leash, pulled in excitement to be out of the kennel, exploring and smelling everything. She has had some training and will “sit” and “stay” upon command. She has no interest in other dogs here at the shelter but loves people. Esmerelda will be a fun-loving family member in her new forever home.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
