Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This helps Talladega Animal Control with pet care costs.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there! I’m Fig, a 4½-month-old neutered male with a bit of a secret—I’m shy at first. Don’t take it personally, it’s just my way of figuring out if you’re the right human for me. But once I’ve decided you’re cool (spoiler alert: you probably are), I’ll be your new best friend! I’m sweet, playful, and have the perfect balance of "let’s play" and "let’s nap" energy.
I’m neutered, current on my vaccines, and ready for my forever home, all for a modest adoption fee of $90. Not bad for a kitten with such refined taste, right?
So, if you're patient, loving, and a fan of kittens who warm up quickly (I promise, it doesn’t take long), give the shelter a call at 256-362-5856 to schedule an appointment. I’ll be here, waiting to be your new best friend. Just don’t expect me to jump into your arms right away—I'm more of a “slow and steady wins the race” kind of guy. But when I do, I’ll be all yours!

More about this shelter
We are the Animal Control Facility for the City of Talladega. We provide animal control services for the entire county of Talladega excluding the city limits of Lincoln, Sylacauga, and Childersburg. We work with lots of rescues all over the US and Canada. We do some local adoptions but don't have many people come in locally looking to adopt. A lot of our pets are transferred to our rescue partners. We do accept donations of cleaning supplies, dry cat/kitten, dry dog/puppy food, cat litter, and chew toys. We are also always looking for short term foster homes for our pets going to rescues. Usually it's only for a 2-4 week period before the pet leaves for his/her rescue. If you are interested feel free to contact us at 256-362-5856
