I am a 7 month old Doodle! Not sure what that means, but it sounds like a really fun word to say!
I'm a little shy, but a lot of sweet, and would do really great with another dog in the home to show me the ropes. I am not 100% sure I can live with a cat, but so far at my temporary foster home in Missouri I haven't bothered with any of the outdoor cats at all! I will need some help learning how to use a leash.
Lance is a delightful boy. He is going to make someone very happy but he's going to need training and patience.
Pros:
Affectionate and likes to be with people. Happy to be picked up. And he loves to cuddle on the couch. His perfect black nose and fluffy coat is adorable. He is definitely food motivated (helps with training) he would probably be quick to learn tricks. He is playful and likes other dogs but knows when to stop.He is not fearful or timid. He's very social. He rests often, not crazy puppy energy, just right. Knows the command "go potty, be a good boy and he comes when called (usually.)
And he's ok with being in a kennel. He will wimper for a few mins before he settles in and chills out. He hasn't had an accident in the kennel once! That's huge.
Cons:
He will need training, time and practice. He has little to no impulse control. His coat will need constant maintenance. Unless you keep it very short he will need to be brushed at least once a week. His coat is coarse not silky. At least so far. It might still be his puppy coat. He has hairy ears which means he will have to have his ears cleaned frequently and have his ear hair pulled out or trimmed when he's groomed. He can be prone to ear infections. He is a counter surfer and will get up in your food. He's getting better but the food motivation is strong. He barks with any sound, he loves to bark with the pack. So far he has not asked to go outside. However if you are on a consistent schedule he keeps his belly band dry.
He is a wonderful puppy with a ton of personality and love to give.
I sure would appreciate your help finding me my forever!

More about this rescue
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.
We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.
You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
