I am a 7 month old Doodle! Not sure what that means, but it sounds like a really fun word to say! I'm a little shy, but a lot of sweet, and would do really great with another dog in the home to show me the ropes. I am not 100% sure I can live with a cat, but so far at my temporary foster home in Missouri I haven't bothered with any of the outdoor cats at all! I will need some help learning how to use a leash.
I sure would appreciate your help finding me my forever!
From his foster: JC came to us super skittish & scared. With each day he came to trust us, quickly making my 10yr old daughter "his person!" He seems to be pretty well trained! Goes potty right away when we bring him out, even went to the door and "booped" the bells once to tell us! He's had a few accidents in the house (only when home alone with my kiddo-so take that with a grain of salt!) but knows to go to the potty pads! He sits to get his leash on & off, knows 'leave it' (which we use often when he sees his reflection and barks at himself!) His kennel is left open all day and he goes in to nap freely. Occasionally he'll be stubborn at night to go in, likely due to my daughter letting him sleep in bed with her 2 nights- mistake! But after about 2 min he goes to sleep! He has stolen our hearts! He is so sweet, so lovable, and just loves to cuddle! Each day he is trying new things, and coming out of his shell.... Learning to play with toys, explore treats, trying the "scary tower (ok, it's just a single flight of stairs!) We are certain that the perfect family will find him and will add so much joy & love to your home!
He is still pretty skittish of new things, but on the flip side, loves exploring! Example: loves playing in the leaves, but when they move it 100% freaks him out! He loves being outside! Does great with kids, doesn't seem to mind other dogs.

More about this rescue
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.
We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.
You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
