I am almost 5 months old and weigh about 15 lbs, I am a miniature Australian Shepherd! I am a little shy, and would love a friendly canine companion to show me around Minnesota! I am good with other dogs.
To top it off... look how cute I am!
From his foster: ive is a quick learner. He warmed right up to the other foster dog (75lb sweet girl) and he will go wherever she goes, including walks. He is pretty skittish and will wait for you to sit down before he can fully determine if he wants to come sit with you. Once he determines you're ok, he will jump up and snuggle in tight for cuddles. He will bark if hearing noises from another room, so shared walls may not be ideal. He learned to do his business outside on the first day, but has still had the occasional accident as we learn his signals. So far, we think that when he licks your hands like crazy, it means he needs to go outside. He does have a little bit of anxiety with the crate, but will calm down after a couple of minutes. Having another dog show him the ropes would be great for him. He has not shown much interest in the resident cats, chickens, or bunnies yet. He seems to still be too timid to fully investigate who they are. Overall, Jive will bring you the love, cuddles, and energy of a puppy as long as it's on his terms.

More about this rescue
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.
We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.
You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
