From her foster: This dog is a warrior. Surrendered from a southern state known for breeding dogs in deplorable conditions, Cha Cha is here and ready to start her new life as a beloved companion. Despite a tough early life, she is an affectionate, optimistic little dog who is catching on to the joys of living in a home, having a comfortable bed, playing in the backyard and spending time on a lap or two. Initially a little shy, her wagging tail tells us that she is ready for her Forever Home.
Cha Cha has made remarkable strides in housebreaking in a week. She is comfortable around other dogs and did not bat an eye around a noisy and rambunctious 4 year old. She likes her walks and is just starting to sniff around and act like a dog. She likes to be able to retreat to her own space so Cha Cha shares my office. She will occasionally go under the bed to reset when there is a lot going on but she always comes out when she is ready. Cha Cha is not a fussy eater and is a big fan of COSTCO chicken for a special treat. She cries when locked in a room but settles down at night or when you leave the house.
From the Vet:
Hi! I'm Cha Cha and my friend at TBB wanted to help me share a bit more about my medical care. I was seen by a TBB veterinary partner and I will need a dental cleaning at some point in the future. I do not have any fractured teeth or major issues with the dental condition affecting my quality of life at this time. TBB recommends that my future adopter maintain my oral health with teeth brushing, water additives, dental chews etc. as well as following recommendations from my future primary care vet. Should my adopters wish to pursue a surgical dental cleaning it will be at the expense of my new furever family. I hope to meet you and fall in love soon!

More about this rescue
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.
We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.
You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
