I am a 5 year old Shih Tzu.
I am a little shy, but so eager to please! I get excited when I can get some pets from people, I like to bounce around and wag my tail!
I would do best with another friendly dog in the home to show me around :)
From her foster: Cassidy has the sweetest face and most gentle eyes!
Cassidy is timid, shy and is fearful around people. However, with each day she is becoming more curious and seems to be gaining confidence with her surroundings.
The best part about Cassidy- she is the ultimate cuddle bug! Since day one she has been falling asleep on my lap once she feels comfortable. She is the greatest lap dog as she is so chill and loves her sleep! She is also a non-shedding girl, which is great for those with allergies!
Potty training is a work in progress, but she succeeds with consistency and frequency. She likes her crate and dog beds/blankets as a safe space and also sleeps in the crate or on a dog bed overnight. We have been doing one or two potty breaks at night and that has been successful.
Cassidy is a quiet girl and hasn't made a single noise since we brought her home (even when our resident dogs are barking). She would do well in a house without other dogs, or with chill, smaller dogs. I would also recommend a house without small children, as she is skittish around quick movements.
Cassidy would do well in a quiet, calm home where she can come out of her shell at her own pace. With some patience and love, I know this sweet girl will be an excellent addition to your family!
