Chase has come a long way from the mostly hairless, unsocialized guy who came in. He takes a little time to get to know you but is great with those he trusts, loves to go for walks, play, and lots of affection. He does have allergies and is on meds as well as a restricted diet. He is ready for a forever home to call his own.

You can pick up an adoption application directly from our shelter or email and we will be glad to email one to you.
Shelter hours are Monday - Saturday 9am-5pm. Shelter is closed on Sundays.

We are a municipal animal shelter. We enforce the Town of Newburgh Dog Control Ordinance, State Laws, investigate cruelty cases and rescue any animal in need, whether it be a domestic animal or wild animal.
Our adoption fee for both cats and dogs are $75. We do offer a Senior for Senior program which means our Seniors can adopt our older dogs (over the age of 7) for NO FEE.
The dogs that are available at our shelter are dogs that have been either abandoned or have been running in our Town and not claimed by owner.
Our available dogs are spayed/neutered, receive all vaccinations, are tested for heartworm and lyme disease,
Felines that are available for adoption are kitties that have been either abandoned at our door or have been found injured or seized. Cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, given age appropriate vaccines and dewormed.
