My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Spike is a 3 month old neutered male American Staffordshire Terrier mix or purebred. He weighs approximately 30 lbs. Is fully vaccinated with core vaccines. Came from a kill shelter in SC with his two siblings and 12 other dogs because they were so overloaded at the shelter they were going to have to put down dogs if our rescue didn't take them and bring them to PA. Spike is dog friendly and loves all people! We still have to cat test him soon! Adoption fee will cover giving him all necessary vaccine boosters . He is already microchipped. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Spike please text Casey at 570-441-0083. We adopt to the general public but we also adopt to military veterans with adoption fee waived in order to provide our heroes with companion or emotional support dogs . Our other adoptable pets our posted on our website as well as the very brief (5 minutes) application form. https://rescuepetsservingvets.org.

More about this rescue

We are a small group of volunteers that rescue pets with medical needs from a kill shelter. We treat them at our associated Vet clinic and make sure they are spayed or neutered and vaccinated. Pets are then put up for adoption and we try and match them with the right owners. We give special priority to veterans and we begin service dog training while pets are with us. Pets are fostered in our homes or at the Veterinary Clinic until homes are found.
