My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Calling German Shorthair Pointer enthusiasts!! For those who are in love with these breed, this bonded pair of sweethearts is guaranteed to capture your heart! These two ended up in rescue from a home where they’d been purchased from a breeder. Their parents were elderly and got him first, then got her. They bred her, and then decided that they weren’t able to give them the care they needed as they were seniors, and they abandoned them. The luckiest day was when an incredible foster home heard of him, and then the next day heard of her, and insisted there was no way these two sweet babies could be separated, and that they would give them great care until they find the home of their dreams!
S’mores is a wonderfully sweet boy who is 2 years old and weighs about 55 lbs. Charlotte is 14 months old and she also weighs about 55 lbs. As soon as they came into rescue they began having their medical work done. They are now current on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm tested, they are current on flea, tick, and heartworm preventative, and they are spayed and neutered! These two are doing wonderfully well and they are eager to begin the next chapter of their lives, where they find their forever home!
S’mores and Charlotte adjusted so well to their foster home! They have been great going potty outside from day one! They have met lots of other pups and have been fabulous with everyone they meet! They load up well in the car and truly enjoy a relaxing car ride with their foster parents! They love to play outside in the yard, and soak up the sun on warm fall days. They love to take walks, and love to go on adventures anywhere you’d like to take them! They are purebred and are both stunningly gorgeous. They compliment each other so beautifully not only with their fabulous personalities and tender, sweet souls, but also with their dashing beauty!
They’ve been good with every single human they’ve met, man, woman or child. They always have a wagging nub and are so enthusiastic to be a part of a positive household where they can give and receive tons of love! snuggley, super devoted parents are a must!
These two steal hearts wherever they go, and they just need their dream of finding a super loving home together to come true. The sky is the limit with these beautiful, sweet pups!

More about this rescue

Great Divide Animal Rescue (GDAR) is a 501(c)3 non profit organization based out of North Carolina. We are run entirely by volunteers who work tirelessly for the rescue, rehabilitation, and successful placement of the most needy of animals.

Our focus is to help animals of all species in need. We do so by providing services in both rescue/foster/placement of homeless pets, but we also partner with several animal control facilities.

Are you looking to help a great organization who saves animals? (primarily dogs but we have rescued even horses, pigs, donkeys, mules and kitties!) We would love to hear from you!

Are you looking to find an amazing companion to make your heart and home complete? we would LOVE to work with you to help you find that perfect match!
