My name is Kooper!

Kooper came into rescue from a shelter, after being surrendered by his owner. He is a gorgeous black, white and brindle boy, 18 mos, at 46 lbs, BC/mix. He has a soft, medium coat, with pricked ears.

Kooper is such a goofy, happy boy, so affectionate, sweet, and LOVES every person he meets, big and small. He is learning to calmly greet without jumping. His enthusiasm may be a little much for small children, as he often forgets his manners.He loves attention, pets, brushing, and gives lots of kisses in return.

Kooper is learning general manners. He is house broken, and crate trained, sleeping in his crate at night and when his foster parents are gone. He is learning to walk nicely on a leash, and LOVES his walks. He would make a great running partner and loves to hike! He is distracted by squirrels on walks, we are working on redirecting his attention. Kooper knows “sit, look, down, off, shake, touch, and roll over”, and has great recall. We are working on “leave it, wait and stay”. He is very food motivated with a soft mouth, and loves his training!  He is also very sensitive about a change in tone of foster mom’s voice. He is up for any adventure, obedience, agility, barn hunt, or fast cat. He loves car rides and quiet in the kennel for travel.

Kooper loves all other dogs, and loves to play! He plays well with his foster sisters, and takes their correction well. He can run like he wind as they chase ball in the yard. He is learning to drop the ball so they can fetch again. Kooper would love to have another playful dog in the home, or ok as a solo dog. He love all toys and bones. Kooper is moderate energy and will need exercise daily, brain games, needing an active family. He does have an off switch, and content to lay at your feet or on the sofa to watch a movie and snuggle. He just loves his people.

Kooper has an intense interest in small furries, so probably best without cats.

He is neutered, UTD on vaccines, and current on preventatives.
