Here's what the humans have to say about me:
*** CAN GO HOME AFTER 11/26/2024 ***
Quick Facts:
Name: Little Gracie
Estimated Birthday: 6/20/2020
Breed: Yorkshire Terrier
Size: 6ish Pounds
House Trained: Work in Progress
Adoption Fee: $365
Hello, my name is Little Gracie! I'm the cutest and smallest little girl you're ever going to meet. I'm 6 pounds of nothing but love. I used to be a breeder dog, but the person I lived with surrendered me and many of my housemates to the shelter. Due to my breed (Yorkshire Terrier ) I will require regular grooming and brushing. I'm a bit of a spark, I like to run through the yard chasing my 100 pound foster brother, the goal is taking his ball away. I LOVE squeaky toys and can get very vocal if any other dog has one and I'm not allowed to participate in the squeak session. I am a master at sniffing out squirrels and whatnots, they cant hide from me. Apart from sniffing out squirrels I like to lounge around and watch the world revolve around me. I mostly prefer to be carried around for this reason. I've been in a foster home with dogs ranging from 5 pounds to 100, young and senior, male and female, and although I don't engage in playtime I do enjoy their company (Has not been tested around cats). In spite of my size I am very curious and adventurous, some would like to say I'm a large dog trapped in a small dog's body. I'm not an excessive barker and will join the chorus of others, but otherwise I am pretty mellow. I have so much personality and when I meet somebody new or somebody arrives at the house I will greet them with hops and leaps hoping they will pick me right up and give me affection. I would prefer a home with older children, old enough to understand I'm a tiny girl and can be fragile. I'm still working on my potty training but am crate trained and sleep through the night and while my foster parents are at work.
***
Little Gracie was used for breeding and most likely kept confined to her crate. Up until now potty training was not something she was taught so potty training will need consistent work and patience. She gets very excited when her people come home and gets jumpy, which is equivalent of being attacked by a dust bunny. Little Gracie is a wonderful little dog, she would be an absolute ray of sunshine in any family who can continue potty training.
