Almost Home Foster Kennels, MN Lic. 132328 is a 501c3, not-for-profit, foster-based, rescue organization. AHFK is located in SE Minnesota, in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFK is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue.
Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia.
All AHFK adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit.
Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption.
All our dogs are completely vetted, 4DX tested, current on vaccinations, *spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
We are currently accepting adoption applications for Alf- WV.
Alf is an owner/surrender. Due to family and business dynamics, Alf was not getting the attention he needed and deserved. The owners felt it was best to find a family that could spend quality time with him.
Alf is well socialized with other dogs and does well with humans, He has been around children but prefers to be left alone when eating.
As a general rule, we state that all of our fosters are not house-trained. We realize that changes in routine and environment causes stress and can lead to accidents. Alf has been kenneled at night and does fairly well at keeping his kennel dry. He needs a solid routine and schedule to master the art of potty training.
Alf is completely vetted and ready for meet and greets.
Alf is looking for a home where one Pet Parent that is a stay-at-home parent, or one which works from home; a family that can help Alf acclimate to his new surroundings and environment with compassion, love, and patience. Please allow 6-8 weeks for Alf to acclimate to the drastic changes in his life.
