If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Cooper is a 4 month old mini Australian Shephard (no papers). I acquired him from a bad situation. Unfortunately my work life has taken a swing and I feel I do not have the time for him (or any puppy). Also my older dog has become quite agressive toward him because Cooper is so playful. He is a sweetheart and very affectionate. He should not grow to be more than 25 pounds. He will come with a large supply of puppy food, shot records, and a crate. He is microchipped which will be transferred to new owner. He is not neutered yet due to his age.
It breaks my heart to do this, but I feel it will be better for him in the end. Adopter must be familiar with the Australian Shepherd breed, he will need extensive exercise long term. He is smart, but stubborn. Potty training is going ok, but again, mostly my fault because I suddenly do not have the time to watch him like I should. I would prefer a home visit, Facetime also an option.
