My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Amber! This adorable Lab/Pit mix born around 8/1/2024. Amber is an
affectionate bundle of joy with a beautiful brindle and white coat. Amber's
personality is as bright as her name-she's playful, curious, and motivated,
with a loving heart that just wants to be part of all the fun! Amber loves
her toys, running around, mealtime, hanging out with her foster friends, and
curling up in her dog bed after a day of play. She's an easygoing pup who's
not too fond of being left out or the occasional vacuum cleaner but is
otherwise happy to roll with whatever life brings. One of her funniest
quirks? She'll climb into a chair to join the "conversation," as if she's
ready to weigh in on all the family news! Amber is doing great with house
and crate training and does well on her own for short periods, as she's
happy to rest in her crate if needed. Amber has met children as young as
five and does great with kids ages 7 and up, making her a wonderful addition
to a family. She's also had fun playtime with both a senior dog and another
puppy in her foster home, getting along well once she's warmed up. Amber
would fit best with a family who loves to be out and about, as she's eager
for adventures, new experiences, and, of course, cuddle time! Amber is up to
date on her vaccines and microchipped. Her adoption fee will include her
future spay. Contact us at adopt@carolinapaws.com to adopt this lovable
girl!

More about this rescue

Carolina P.A.W.S. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization comprised of a network of compassionate Carolinians, all of whom are volunteers. We are devoted to helping abandoned and abused cats and dogs throughout the greater Charlotte area find loving homes. CPAWS does not have a facility and relies entirely on volunteer foster parents to care for an animal until we are able to find a pet their forever home. Our founding members have been collectively involved in animal rescue for over 20 years.

Carolina P.A.W.S. volunteers can be found "in the trenches," rescuing animals at high risk- those starving on the streets, languishing in shelters, and suffering in abusive situations. Each animal has a different past but our promise to them all is the same…a second chance. We provide them with medical attention, rehabilitate them physically and emotionally, and care for them in foster homes until they can be placed in loving permanent homes.

Along the way, we prepare them to become wonderful companions by taking the time to socialize them and patiently teaching them to trust. We also spay/neuter each one, provide all inoculations, and ensure that they are in perfect health before being made available for adoption.
