My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

‘EE’ THEME PUPPY:  Approx. 2 months old / Approx. 4 lbs. & growing

Hi, I’m Huxlee!  I came to Mostly Mutts along with my mom and siblings when we were just 1 day old.  I’ve been growing and having fun in my foster home and now I’m ready to find a family of my very own!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I love my siblings and do very well with the other dogs in my foster home, so if you have a nice doggie that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / I haven’t met kitties yet, but I’m very young so I’d likely do well with them if they like puppies. / I haven’t met young kids in my foster home, but I like the older ones I’ve met, so if you have kids that are old enough to know how to interact gently with a tiny dog, let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  My foster describes me as very sweet, smart and an active little pup. I’ll grab a toy and even entertain myself playing.  Want to cuddle?  Me too!  / My energy is currently level 4-6, of course this could change as I grow up.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog – including starting to train me not to chew on you and the kids so we’ll all be happy - so get ready for some training with your new best friend. / You can crate train me. / I’m just a little baby, so I’ll need my new family to potty train me in our yard.  Also, I’m very small, so the birds of prey could take an interest in me, so please stay very close if we’re in our yard.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like all the people I’ve met so far, and I just love toys, being held and cuddled, as well as lots of attention. / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped.  I am not neutered yet, but I will be soon, and Mostly Mutts will pay for that as long as it’s done at their vets, so local adoption only until I’m neutered.

If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.

Thank you for your patience and support!

Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse

Please visit our website, www.mostlymutts.org for additional information about adopting a new best friend!
