Meet Dublin and Killarney - two adorable brothers that were recently welcomed in from our reservation partner in South Dakota.
We don't know exactly what is their breed mix, but we do know pups from this area tend to be 10+ different breeds in their DNA! We also know these pups will grow up to be big dogs - likely in the 55-75lb range. Our partner also rescued their mom - she was 75lbs and looked to be a Newfie/Bernard/Shepherd/Husky mix.
Killarney is shyer than his brother Dublin, but once he warms up - he loves to snuggle. He tends to watch from afar before jumping in to playtime and lets his brother explore a new thing first before he will approach. He is gentler than his brother and is the absolute sweetest boy. He will need a family that can help him become confident, social and outgoing.
The boys are working hard on learning to be good puppies. They sleep in their crate and don't make a peep all night and keep their crates nice and clean. They are working on their house training, but are puppies after all. When on a schedule to go outside, they do well but will have the occassional accident inside.
The pups are fostered with other large dogs, cats and kids and love everyone.
Dublin is looking for an active family that has the time, patience and energy to handle a large, working breed dog. Socialization and training classes are an absolute must!
Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.
The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.
