Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale... about a former Tom cat named The Skipper! You feel his story the second you pet him - a hard, thick skull, sturdy body and rougher coat that spent at least some time surviving outside. But, all that hard noggin has to do now is give lots of head butts! The Skipper is as sweet and friendly as they come, and we swear he smiles when he meets you. He's just a big chill lump of love who is looking forward to never living outside again.
The Skipper came to us shipwrecked with his younger crew and passengers - Gilligan, Thurston, Ginger and Mary Ann - who were all left in carriers at our door. They were a little wet and scared, but they all warmed up quickly, both physically and emotionally. The Skipper likes other cats (so much so he likes to escape his own colony to visit the other) and seems fine with nice dogs. He's neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
Apply to adopt your new best friend at www.secondchanceas.org/adopt or at the sanctuary any time we're open. Call 570-376-3646 or email secondchanceas@yahoo.com with any questions.

Additional adoption info
We are passionate about pairing animals in need with loving families who would best suit their individual needs. NOTE: You do not have to apply for a specific animal on your application. You can submit it as a "pre-application" for a certain size, age or breed of animal, and if approved, we can contact you if a possible match arrives at the shelter.
