Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Chip
Meet Chip, a miniature poodle with a big personality. To say that Chip is a lap dog, would be an understatement. This guy just wants to be held all the time and at just 9lbs, that is an easy request. A home with other pets is no problem for this pup- cats and dogs of all sizes are okay with him. With such a friendly and gentle personality, kids in the home would be okay.
Chip does tend to resource guard with humans which will require an adopter who is willing to work with him and educate themselves on this behavior. He also tends to favor females over males and can even be a bit fearful of adult men. Chip enjoys going on walks, does great on the leash, and is coming along well with his potty-training. Because of his curly coat, Chip will need to be groomed every 6-8 weeks to make sure he doesn’t get matted. He has also been diagnosed with a grade 2 heart murmur.
Despite his quirks, Chip would be a wonderful companion for the right home. Overall, he is a very well mannered, calm guy, ready for forever home. If you think Chip would be a good fit for your family, follow this link to apply:
