Meet Oreo, a male dachshund/small terrier mix puppy born to mama Snickerdoodle on 9/22/24! Snickerdoodle (18 lbs) was picked up as a stray in East TN when she was heavily pregnant. Paws Rescue League took her into rescue and placed her into a loving foster home, where she gave birth to 7 puppies (the Cookie litter) shortly afterwards. Sadly, only 3 of the 7 puppies survived. Oreo was the runt of the litter.
Oreo is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone! Good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. Young puppies are like blank slates who, with appropriate training and socialization, will grow into wonderful dogs.
Oreo and his siblings are arriving in New England soon, and we are accepting applications on them now! We work hard to match each dog to the best home for them. Apply to meet this sweet boy today!
Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding!
