My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You just can't lose by selecting an orange male kitten! Like most of them, Ambrose is quite the lover boy. He will sit on your lap, and purr away when you pet him. Now almost 5 months old, Ambrose is cute and playful, chasing and wrestling with his fellow foster kittens. He likes to sit on his cat tree and observe what his people are doing. There is a rumor among cat people, however, that all male orange kittens in the world share one brain cell. So be prepared, and let us know what you think!

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. You can also contact us directly regarding a pet seen here and we will set up a time for you to meet them in person. Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
