Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Four year old Fiona is simply darling. She is a perfect girl in the house. Fully housetrained, doesn't touch things she shouldn't, quiet but will alert you if she hears someone outside, loves to be with her humans, very gentle, affectionate...we could go on and on. Her ideal home would have a calm and quiet environment. Children in the home should be older since she prefers quiet. She would prefer to be the only apple of your eye and be the sole dog in the home, she loves her humans so much. Fiona is just a low maintenance pupper. The white around her eyes is a harmless pigmentation condition that gives her character! Fiona prefers not to be crated, but she's so well mannered, it hasn't mattered. We have however crate trained her.
Fiona's special needs are orthopedic. While she gets around fine, and ignores her arthritis, she does need medication to keep her comfortable. Fiona has no problem jumping in the car, going up and down stairs, and navigating her environment both inside and outside. We have had her seen by an orthopedic surgeon who shared that any discomfort she has is from arthritis and old untreated injuries. He did not feel surgery is needed at this time. She is however scheduled for an injection into her knee in January which should give her significant relief.
There is no adoption fee for Fiona to the right match, and the rescue will cover any injections or knee surgery she could possibly need in the future. Her adopter would be responsible for her maintenance vet needs, such as monthly preventatives, and well-care vet visits.
