My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Oreo, the 25lb Spring Spaniel mix with short legs, ready to pounce into your heart. In the scorching heat and humidity of Mississippi, a rescuer saved eight adorable puppies from a cramped 10x10 pen. When they were finally freed, they burst with joy, running wild and eager to explore the world. These sweet pups were set to be euthanized, but now they have a second chance at life.

Oreo's foster says she's great around other dogs, loves to run outside and has been warming up to new people easier as time goes on. The more you get to know her, the less shy she is and her funny personality comes out.

If you’re ready to welcome Oreo into your home, please apply at https://peace4paws.org/adoption-application to adopt.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
