My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IN A FOSTER HOME:
This kitten is currently living in a foster home. If you are interested in adopting, please email the foster at adopt18toes@outlook.com

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by a community member.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Say hello to Mae! A sweet lil' babe that can't wait to find her new cozy home. Kittens are outgoing, confident, and energetic little babies- usually for their first 2 years of life! New kitten parents should be prepared to cat-proof their living environment, and provide lots of interaction, exercise, and play for their new kitten. It may also be a good idea to consider adopting two of these precious little ones! Having another kitten to keep them company can teach appropriate play, provide companionship, and give them a fantastic outlet for all that playful energy. All kitties should have a small environment set up in their new home with food, water, toys, scratching surfaces, and a litter box.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
