My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Spice is living in a foster home. Please submit an application from our website and/or email dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org to learn if you are a match!

Add some Spice to your life and adopt the sweetest little baby there ever was! Spice comes to us al the way from Puerto Rico, where he was one of many puppies born every day on the streets. A kind woman took him and his siblings into her home and raised them until they were ready to fly out to a better life. Spice lives in a foster home with a toddler and two cats, but he would feel at home anywhere! He is a happy and sweet baby. He already knows sit, and he is super food motivated so will be easy to train in these formative weeks. He is doing great with housebreaking if he is regularly let outside. He knows that is where he should go, but his foster mom keeps pee pads down in the house and he will go on those if he needs to. Spice is still adjusting to his new life, and is just a baby, so will need a lot of grace as he grows and learns! An adopter would need to be prepared to work on all of the puppy basics, especially being left alone.

Spice is going to be a medium sized dog when full grown, and he is gorgeous and has the sweetest temperament. Please inquire about this perfect pup today!

Spice's adoption fee is $400. This animal is neutered, and is up to date on core vaccines appropriate for their age. They will need a rabies vaccine at 4 months of age and a Heartworm test between 6-7 months of age.
