My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Harvey is ready to find his forever home!
Harvey is a sweet kitten who was found abandoned in a shoebox near a construction site just over a month ago. He has since been in one of our foster homes, and doing great! We realized immediately that Harvey has special needs - he can't walk on his own but that doesn't stop him from doing everything else a "normal" kitten can do. He eats and drinks on his own, he is litterbox trained and he's extremely playful. He is also the best lap kitten and very content being held all day!
We had Harvey evaluated by a neurologist and he has been diagnosed with suspected Cerebellar hypoplasia. This is a condition that causes Harvey to have issues walking/moving like a normal kitten, but does not affect his life span or quality of life. His ideal home should be someone who has carpet (or willing to put area rugs down) so he can maneuver without hurting his head, and so that he can get to his litterbox with no issue. His foster mom lets him play on the rug but then puts him in a soft crate where his bed, toys and litterbox are.
Harvey has the sweetest personality and has no idea he's not a "normal" kitten! He is great with dogs and cats of all sizes, and loves all humans he meets. If you are a cat-savvy family willing to open your heart & home to this sweet, special boy please fill out an application via our website www.pprct.org today!

Additional adoption info

Project Precious has an ever changing group of adoptable dogs and cats, puppies and kittens, please check in frequently to see if your forever friend is waiting for you!

If you are interested in adopting a Project Precious pet, please email ProjectPreciousRescue@gmail.com OR ProjectPreciousRescue2@gmail.com for an adoption application. After receiving your filled out application, we will screen your information and determine if we have a pet that is a good fit for you. There will then be a introduction and home visit, and if all goes well, an adoption contract and fee. When submitting an application, please bear in mind that we do this on our own time in addition to working paying jobs, so it may take a couple of days to get a response. Our adoption fees vary depending on age and type of animal (dog or cat).

More about this rescue

Project Precious Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3 registered non-profit organization dedicated to animal rescue.

We are a small scale rescue based in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Our animals are placed in carefully screened foster homes while they are waiting to find their forever homes - we do not have a facility/shelter.

The mission of PPR is to rescue adoptable animals who may otherwise face homelessness or death, and find them loving forever homes. Our goal is to provide the best veterinary care, and we strive to place our animals in carefully screened homes that best match their needs. We rely solely on donations, and do not profit from our work. We rescue on our terms - dogs and cats, and do not discriminate against age/breed. PPR believes every animal deserves a second chance!
