My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are looking for a gentle family dog, with the face of a badger and the floof of a polar bear, you have found him! He is incredibly dog-friendly, has wonderful house manners (including being house-trained) is feline-friendly, adores kids, and is great on leash. The list could go on and on. I am enamored by how easy his company feels, familiar and so comfortable.

Baron is a brown-eyed boy with an easy-going nature and dreams of a family of his own. If you are looking for chaos and wild, Baron here is not the one for you, his entire being exudes gentle and calm, love and warmth. Estimated to be 2 years old, weighing a perfect 77 lbs, this boy is carrying a big loving heart and all the traits of an adoring, loyal dog.
His demeanor and look lead us to believe he is a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian mix but breed and age are details we cannot offer 100% certainty on given the nature of him being a rescue. We can absolutely guarantee Baron is a heart-warming face with a gentle nature.

One of my favorite things about Baron is how peaceful his presence is. He is quiet company that feels like you have always known. This same sense of good-company doesn’t stop with dogs. Baron is fortunate to be waiting for his adoption day in the home of a devoted foster. He has shared that Baron gets along beautifully with his dogs, who are wide range of age and size. We introduced him to a handful of new dogs to gauge his playfulness and friendliness with other dogs and we saw the same, friendly and easy-going. He was at ease and made connections with a variety of dogs, big and small, showing so much patience to some extra pushy and excited new friends. In addition to being dog friendly, Baron was a gentleman with our resident house cat. You can see more in this video, including him meeting the cat, he playful nature with other dogs ands gentle approach to kids. https://youtu.be/F0LVxajd1NM

Given his size and nature, we would love to see Baron in a home where his natural pace is welcome. A house with a yard though apartment/condo life is not off the table, a loving family, a mellow-friend or maybe even an equally calm feline friend, just the simple life. I can’t imagine many homes Baron wouldn’t be well suited for. He is going to show up and feel like he has always been yours. Plus, you’ll often have what looks like a polar bear skin rug on the ground when he is resting, very chic!

If you can guard his big loving heart and keep the love coming his way, he promises sweetness, adoration, and loyalty in return. So, if you're looking for a four-legged friend who's sheer presence is calming, is simple goodness, charming and has a golden-good heart, Baron is available for adoption!

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.

The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!

Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
