He was the first male in a hoarding situation and came into rescue after a family member was able to step in and get some of the dogs out. Bonito and the first female spent their life outside in NC in a small pen with their children. Bonito had 7 lbs of caked on matted on hair that had never been groomed. He was so excited when he was able to actually feel his skin again when he scratched himself. Bonito is a very calm and sweet boy with a very stable personality. He is not a submissive dog. He calmly lets the other dogs he interact with know that he is in charge and none of the dogs in his foster home have even questioned his status. Bonito walks well on leash and has picked up house manners very quickly as he really thinks being inside of a house is awesome.
