My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Astrid; Derived from the Old Norse ssfrir, a compound name composed of the elements ss (a god) and frr (beautiful, fair).

Here at Five Acres, we are inclined to agree that our Astrid is indeed the goddess of beauty and fairness. After being found on the side of the road in Bonne Terre, being held in a very overpopulated shelter, Astrid has finally made her way to us in hopes of finding her forever people. She is naturally cautious and gentle, often needing time to warm up to her canine friends but once she is comfortable she gets the ZOOMS!

Astrid has never met kids or cats since in our care but based on her personality, we think she would be okay in a home with calmer kids or cats if given a proper introduction. She has met different dogs while being with us and has done great. She loves to run around and play with other dogs, but is also down for some calm strolling in the yard.

Come on in to see Astrid today!
