All of our adoptable animals are up to date on routine vaccinations, microchipped and spayed or neutered. If the animal is too young a certificate for the spay/neuter is included in the adoption fee. Please CLICK HERE to complete our online adoption application.

Many of our animals can be seen at our adoption center located at 5820 Richmond Rd, Texarkana, TX on Saturdays between 10 am - 3 pm. We also have cats available in the Cat Adoption Center inside PetSmart - Texarkana. To make arrangements to meet any of our animals, please call us at 1-877-525-4825, option 1.

Texarkana Animal League is a 501c3 non profit and all donations are tax deductible.

Charlotte is a precious small black cat that was brought to us after seeking help from a man in a trailer park. She was missing the right side of her lower jaw, and it was infected, and she was starving due to inability to eat with the swelling and pain from the trauma. We rushed her to the vet, and she had surgery for debridement of wound and drains placed to drain the pus and fluid from her jaw. She was spayed and microchipped at the same time. She is a precious baby and loves attention. Even after someone did that to that precious baby, she still trusts people and wants to be near them. She is a cuddle bug and great around other cats as well. She doesn't seem to mind dogs either. She would make someone a great lap baby!

More about this rescue

Texarkana Animal League (TAL) is a group of volunteers that is dedicated to improving the welfare of animals in our shelter & community. We operate out of a facility where both cats and dogs are sheltered until they find their forever home. Some of our animals are also in foster homes.

Our mission is to provide protection and care for abandoned, abused, neglected and unwanted companion animals. We also want to promote animal welfare through programs and services that mutually benefit animals and people.

All proceeds benefit animal care and adoptions, and assist with our community outreach programs such as a low-income spay/neuter assistance program (SNAP), as well as educational and service projects to assist TAL's belief that all animals are deserving of life, respect and care.

In 2017, we altered almost 300 animals in the community with our SNAP Program.
