Meet Julius!

Julius is an energetic and affectionate pup with a story that began on a reservation, where he was left behind when his family moved. Despite his past, Julius is eager to embrace his new life and is making great strides in his foster home.

This treat-motivated guy already responds well to “come,” “sit,” and “drop” and is improving with potty training when kept on a consistent schedule. Julius is also learning to manage his excitement, working on not jumping up for attention and being less mouthy during play. With plenty of energy to spare, regular walks and exercise are key to keeping this pup happy and balanced. Once he’s had his fun, Julius loves nothing more than snuggling on the couch or in bed with his favorite person.

Julius bonds deeply and is incredibly loyal to “his person,” often sticking close like a shadow to keep track of their every move. He’s working on feeling more comfortable when left alone and is learning to trust that his humans will always come back. While he tolerates his kennel, he much prefers snuggling up in bed at night.

Julius currently lives in a foster home with children (ages 7 and 12), dogs of all sizes, and cats. He gets along well with everyone but can sometimes chase the cats or playfully herd the smaller dog. It’s all in good fun, as he’s more playful than anything else.

This sweet boy, with his wonderfully soft fur coat, is searching for a forever home that understands his high-energy needs and will patiently help him continue to learn and build trust. If you’re looking for an active, loyal companion with a heart full of love, Julius might be your perfect match!
