20 pounds of love and fun in a 15 pound container! They say good things come in small packages, and I am a perfect example. In addition to being housebroken and crate trained, check out my charming smile – I’m irresistible! I love taking walks and being outside, and I am happy around both people and animals. Dogs? I do well after a quick sniff. Cats? I like to play with them! Small kiddos? I am happy having them walk me on a leash and reward them with lots of kisses afterwards. I am happiest when I’m hanging out with my family and my foster Mom says I’m very gentle and loving. Bonus points if you don’t have a lot of stairs in your home – I’m fine going up, but coming back down scares me, so we’re working on that! If you’re looking for a sweet, young-at-heart pup with a killer grin, I could be the perfect fit!

By the time you meet us, we’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. We’ve been checked by a veterinarian, and we’re up to date on age-appropriate immunizations against rabies and DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus). We’ve been tested for heartworm and other tick borne diseases (4DX), and we’ve started our heartworm and flea preventive medications. Some of us have had extensive surgeries, dental work, or other necessary procedures. AARF is committed to getting all of us entirely ready for a happy, healthy, love-filled life!

AARF only adopts pets to people in the Baltimore/DC metro region. In certain circumstances, we will consider homes in closer areas Pennsylvania, Delaware and Northern Virginia. This is due to the required home visit and long term ability to support the adoption. If you live outside of an hour radius of Baltimore, it is unlikely that your application will be approved.
Completion of the application form does not guarantee AARF will place one of our pets in your care. Many of our animals receive multiple applications, and we evaluate each applicant on fit for the specific animal (not first come first serve).
Completion of the application authorizes AARF to verify any information contained herein, including verification of medical records of any present or prior pets treated by the veterinarians listed.
AARF utilizes Truthfinder, a leading provider of public data about people and their connections to others, to verify certain information provided on foster and adoption applications.
