This beautiful girl is named Sue! Sue is a loyal, cat-friendly, kid-friendly cutie looking for forever love.
We believe that Sue is a 1 and a half year old pittie mix of some sort, but she is a rescue, so these are just our best guesses! Sue weighs around 60 pounds, but she knows that she’s still a lap dog.

Sue is wonderful with kids, and she lives with four teenagers and frequently spends time with children in her foster home. She’s tolerant and loving with children, but we do recommend her for a home with older children, 10+, that will be able to understand and respect her boundaries. With kitties, Sue is a perfect little lady. She was raised in a home with multiple cats, and is currently fostered with cats. She gets along famously with her foster family’s grumpiest cat!
Sue does well in her crate in her foster mom’s home, and she’s good on leash! She’s a very smart and adaptable girl that has learned a handful of basic commands with her foster family. Continuing training with Sue will be enjoyable and rewarding! She is also a total water dog, she loves her foster family’s pool, and will be absolutely ecstatic to join you for a dip!
Sue is all about the finer things in life. Whether it's her favorite squeaky toy or a gourmet snack, she’s all in. She loves seafood, and her favorite treat is fish jerky. She loves to cozy up in soft places, and she’ll always be ready for a snuggle with her favorite humans.
We believe that Sue will do best in a home with older children. Sue could live with kitties happily, but we recommend an only-dog home for her.

We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey!
You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!
The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
