My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Do you love the look of a big chocolate lab but always wished you could have that but in 1/3 the size? Then you have met your dream boy! Choco is his name, he is the color of mahogany, and is one absolutely adorable boy! He is in the running for the best little companion and our newest member of the Lovely Little Lab Club. Take a look and brace yourself to fall head over heels
https://youtu.be/EuvZrLXSqOM

This handsome gentleman sure is a cute face but that alone isn’t all he has to offer! He is a smart family man with manners, has a wonderful personality, and a gentle fun-loving demeanor. Choco is so fortunate to be waiting for his adoption day in the home of a devoted foster family. This has given us a front-row seat to him as a house dog while he learns all about family life. He has showed us he is loads of fun, loves to snuggle, his favorite sleeping location is in the kids beds, and being an walking buddy comes naturally.

Choco sure looks like a Chocolate Lab meets Pocket Beagle but in rescue we cannot guarantee breed or age given we do not know their history. Weighing in at a perfectly petite 34 lbs and estimated to be 3 years old, he is 100% a show stopper. He is the kind of dog that catches everyones attention because he is such a fun little mash-up of size and looks, while giving off hello-world friendliness. I can see him living his best life as a family guy, greeting the neighbors on walks and working the room during backyard get togethers, always wrapping the night up with cozy couch snuggles.

Thanks to his size and leash manners, Choco is suited for a variety of different homes whether it’s an apartment in the city or a home in the suburbs. One thing though is he would love a friend! He is a great doggie playmate and we can see that it makes him happy to rip and run around the yard with a buddy. Wherever his next chapter takes him we know he will have your heart and quickly become a favorite among friends and neighbors.

We introduced Choco to a handful of dogs and you will see in his Get-to-know-me video, he is a friendly and playful canine-companion type. No feline companions for him though, that same love of a rip and run good-time comes out with cats. He cant quiet understand why a game of chase with a cat is off-limits and he would likely chase a house cat for some good fun and we know that is unwelcome chaos.

This boy is truly a one-of-a-kind little guy and lucky for you he is looking for his fur-ever home. Adopt Choco today and get ready to live a charmed life together! He cannot wait to have a person of his own at the other end of the leash and we sure hope its you!

If you have any questions about Choco or would like us to test him for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure he is the correct fit for you and your life!

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.

The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!

Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
