World, allow us to introduce you to Ham, a 6.5 month old Great Dane puppy! She weighs about 80 pounds and counting! Ham is a very sweet girl indeed. She is learning to trust new people but it takes her a little time to adjust. She's fine with other dogs and, after some initial hesitation, she's done well with children and big people, too. She ignores the cats in her foster home so we think she can coexist with them peacefully in her forever home, too!
Ham is excellent in her crate, it's her safe space. Like a true puppy, she loves to steal anything she can (every toy in the toy bin....shoes) and bring them with her to her crate :) She's doing great with potty training so far! She's also doing very well walking on a leash. She likes to follow her foster family for some cuddles and get some play time in, but then heads back to her crate to her collection of things. Ham will do well with an adopter who is ready for puppy antics in a big package! She will warm up with patience and time, and will surely be a wonderful member of her forever family.
