Meet Snicker - a sweet little pup who was rescued just in the nick of time as his humans were turning him over to a shelter. Our rescue volunteer was at the shelter working to negotiate to pull a boxer who was set to be euthanized in two days and needed a special "rescue only" pull status. Hooray! Not only did the boxer have a second rescue there that day who got to take him out but our volunteer discussed things with Snicker's person and before Snicker was officially a shelter dog (as you can see from his frightened face in the indoor picture posted this was a scary proposition for Snicker!) he was in the back of a truck ready to be fostered! Snicker is a goofball and super sweet. He gets along with ALL his four-legged foster sibs. He is young and friendly. His beautiful brown and black brindled coat is rich and chocolatey! He has webbing between his toes and our current guess of breed is perhaps a retriever mix. He follows his foster dad around the house and has shown himself to be house trained. Snicker is such a love and at just 8 months old has a BIG life ahead of him.

We began as a mobile adoption unit for a local humane society and then realized we could help even more dogs and cats in need if we became a 501 (c)(3). FLA Rescue was formed. Over the years, we have met incredible individuals and families who have opened their hearts and homes to hundreds of dogs and cats in need of love and a fresh start. We love it when we get updates - from pictures to visits in-person - from past adopters and adoptees. We believe that people who adopt dogs and cats in need are truly special individuals. We feel lucky to volunteer our time for animals and help people like you find a dog or cat who will bring joy to your life.
