My story

A friend of TC Paw found a kid in front of PetSmart handing out kittens for free. She grabbed the two that were left and turned them over to us to place in a foster home. Though Nyx was pretty sick with stomach parasites, she's fine now. She's a sweet kitten, still a bit unsure about interacting with people and having space to be a cat, but she's curious and eager to learn. She looks like Toothless in How to Train Your Dragon, with a little scratch on her nose. She's not sure yet about being held, but her foster family is working on that. She likes playing with other cats, especially her sister Nisa and even the new foster Clementine, but she's scared of the dogs, so the family hasn't tackled that one yet. Nyx and Nisa are bonded. We recommend a patient home for Nyx where she can stay with Nisa. Please check Nisa's page too. Their foster family welcomes home visits to meet the girls.

An adoption coordinator will call to complete a phone interview.

Home Check

Adoption coordinator will call personal and veterinarian references.

Approve Application

Meet the Pet

Pets may be in foster homes or at the Traverse City Pet Smart cattery to meet potential adopters.
