My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I was trapped in Valley Center at a property where the house was abandoned and later demolished. Animal Welfare Coalition trapped and brought my sister, Nadja and I to Smittens Rescue. I’m initially shy and need time to get to know you (I’m getting used to hoomans). But I got a lot of playtime with kids at my previous foster home!

Note: Young kittens are adopted out in pairs or to a home with another playful cat or kitten.

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
