My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oso is a 2-year-old Pitbull Terrier mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for food! He’s a friendly and loyal pup who would thrive in a home with children 8 years or older. Oso’s love for treats makes him a quick learner, so he’ll enjoy picking up new tricks and manners with his forever family. If you’re looking for a sweet and food-motivated companion, come meet Oso—he’s ready to bring joy and loyalty to a loving home!

*This pet is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and ready to go home today.

More about this shelter

West Valley Humane Society is an open-admission animal shelter in Southern Idaho. Serving all of Canyon County, and surrounding areas. We take in the stray, surrendered, abandoned, neglected animals in our community. In 2017, we took in 7,778 animals. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance.

We contract with the cities of Nampa, Caldwell and Canyon County to house stray and owner surrender animals that their ACO's, or the general public, bring to us.
