My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the one and only, lovely Lilly. The 'lily' flower is the symbol of innocence, purity, and beauty. This perfectly describes this gorgeous girl that has lived the life of a free-flowing flower for three years: Lilly was found as a stray in North Carolina, she was briefly placed in a rescue there, and then flown to our rescue for us to find her FURever family for her. Her freedom and plane ride have earned her the rights to the song 'Ms. Independent,' and trust me she has the vocals to sing with Kelly Clarkson.

Lilly wants you to know that she is brilliant. She has been busy mastering basic commands and like all of us, she is a work in progress. She is loyal, and once she knows she can trust you, you are IN. She is THE PREFERRED DOG at our rescue to take to events - what does that mean? That means she rides well in a car, she is patient with random events/dressing up, does well with new people, she is a DODEL (dog model), she LOVES strutting her stuff on the red/blue/green carpet (in fact, she does not care what color the carpet is so long as she is the center of attention), and that she shows VERY WELL. Besides strutting herself down the red carpet with poise and confidence, she loves the sound of her own voice. Are you looking for a companion to sing your favorite songs with you? If so, Lilly is YOUR girl.

Lilly is active and would love her FURever family to be adventurous like she is. Lilly has a strong prey drive so she will thrive in a home without small critters (cats and such). Lilly has shown to be dog selective, but we think she would really prefer to be the only dog in the home. All she wants is love and attention from humans, and as the only dog she will definitely get that! Lilly had her DNA tested and is a mix of Dogo Argentino, Foxhound and Plott Hound.

A family that is dog savvy and willing to invest the time to train and communicate with Lilly is what will be best for her. A home with no children or older teenagers would be best. Her heart and love are the purest. She just wants to be loved and cherished and given the opportunity to reciprocate the same with her FURever family.

Lilly asked us to share this: If you are looking for a loyal best friend, look no further. I am YOUR girl. The family that adopts lovely Lilly will have won the K9 lottery. If you are interested in adding Lilly to your family, please complete an application on our website: www.crcpa.org

Canine Rescue of Central PA, Inc. is a nonprofit 501c(3), all-volunteer organization dedicated to providing assistance to any dog in a helpless situation. While a young organization, we have made tremendous progress in establishing another valuable resource for our furry friends. It is our mission to get involved in as many situations as possible to provide sanctuary, shelter, and homes to as many dogs as we can.
