Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dottie is a five-year-old terrier mix, weighing about 36 pounds, who was surrendered to the shelter on 11/9/24 due to her owner`s personal circumstances. Now in foster care, she is housebroken, crate trained, and gets along well with other dogs, delighting in playtime and giving her canine friends kisses. Dottie has a medium energy level, enjoying both play and lounging, and she seems to do well with cats. While she loves attention, pets, and snuggling with her favorite stuffed toys, she can be nervous around new people and has trust issues with small children, making her better suited for a home with older kids. Dottie does resource guard her food and toys from other dogs, so she will need an adopter who is committed to working with her on this behavior. Once she feels safe, Dottie’s playful personality and sweet nature shine, and she’s ready to connect the dots to her perfect forever home!
This pup has a sponsored adoption fee, meaning you can bring her home spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated at no cost to you!

More about this shelter
The Daviess County Animal Shelter receives thousands of animals annually. Some of them are returned to their owners, some find new homes, but unfortunately some are never placed in a home. This is why it is so important that these animals find new homes.
