Meet Max, the maximum example of love and companionship! This 12-year-old Rottweiler and Shepherd mix weighs around 55 pounds and is ready to spend his golden years in a comfy, loving home. Max was surrendered to the shelter with another dog when his owner had to move. While he’s somewhat housebroken, he may have occasional accidents, so he’ll need a patient owner to help him settle into new potty routines. Max has experience with children (ages 4-5) and has been said to be good with them, as well as with cats. He previously lived with another dog, but if there are other dogs in the home, a meet-and-greet is recommended to ensure that he jives with any resident canines. This sweet senior is looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy his well-deserved retirement.

More about this shelter
The Daviess County Animal Shelter receives thousands of animals annually. Some of them are returned to their owners, some find new homes, but unfortunately some are never placed in a home. This is why it is so important that these animals find new homes.
