Hi my name is Ankoku! I am a shy cat looking for a patient owner who is willing to give me time to adjust and open up in my new home. Once I get comfortable, I will come out of my shell and start to show more of my true personality. After all, the best things in life are worth waiting for – like a special bond with a cat who likes the calmer side of life.
My foster parent says: `At some point over the last 2 weeks, Ankoku aka Coco decided I was her best friend forever - she refuses to not be touching me 110% of the time, she suddenly likes being carried like a baby (on her back) and slept right on my chest. I`m pretty sure she purred for 4hours straight! She`s insanely curious and adventurous now, and really behaves more like a kitten.
She has even warmed up considerably to my toddlers (especially the 3year old) and even slept with him several nights. She does not totally love the 2year old but she does well at just running away or meowing/growling to let him know she needs space.
She is such a great family kitty! I have no idea how she was so shy before because now she really acts like Queen Bee around here.`
I am currently living in one of our wonderful foster homes. Adopting from foster is easy! Please email adoptions@hshv.org or call (734)662-5585 to arrange a meeting today!
