My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tucker
Meet Tucker! Your Handsome, Gentle Companion is Ready to Meet You!
Hey there! My name is Tucker, and I’m a dashing 4-year-old Standard Poodle on the lookout for my forever family. I might not have seen a ton of this big, beautiful world just yet, so I can be a little shy with new people and places. But with a bit of time, patience, and gentle guidance, I warm up quickly—ready to embrace all the amazing adventures waiting for me out there!
I get along just fine with the other dogs here, and I was a great buddy to the child I lived with before coming to the shelter. I’ve got a big heart and lots of love to give; I just need someone to help me feel safe and show me all the good things in life.
I`ll be checking in with the vet on 11/13, and then I’ll be all set and ready for my new home on the 14th. If you think I could be the perfect fit for your family, head over to www. northwoodshumanesociety .org, check out the adoptable animals page, and fill out the dog adoption form. Once that’s submitted, the team will reach out to set up a meet-and-greet. Let`s see if we`re meant to be! ?
