~ Bamboo is looking for an active home that will be able to provide her with lots of exercise once she is feeling comfortable ~ Bamboo is very nervous and fearful of new people and will need her new family to go slow with her ~ While in our care we have noticed Bamboo is under-socialized and will need work on her touch sensitivities ~ Bamboo is looking for a single adult or couple she can call her own ~ Bamboo will need to be signed up for training prior to going into her fur-ever home to help her learn some of her basic manners ~ Bamboo will need her new family to have some experience or research hairless breeds
Regularly Exhibited Behaviours Noticed: - High Energy - Under-Socialized - Nervous / Shy / Fearful - Jumpy / Mouthy - Minimal / No previous training - Touch sensitivity
Explanation of Behaviours: - Bamboo is an active high-energy dog that will need lots of daily exercise and enrichment. - Bamboo can be nervous/fearful with new people, in new situations and in new environments. Her new family will have to slowly and positively introduce her to these things to help her become more comfortable with those around her. - She is under-socialized and will need her new family to help slowly and positively socialize her to the world around her. - Bamboo has shown to have touch sensitivity and will need her new family to help her slowly become more comfortable with touch in a safe and positive way. - Bamboo does not seem to have much or any previous training and her new family should be prepared to start basic training with her right away.
This dog would benefit from: - An active home - Lots of training and socialization - An adult only family - No apartments - Desensitizing - Regular grooming

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your envirnoment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
