My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lucy, the feline embodiment of I Love Lucy! This spunky adult cat is always up to some kind of mischief - whether it’s attempting to “help” you in the kitchen (think Vitameatavegamin, but with cat treats) or plotting her next great escape from her comfy cat bed, she’s a star in her own right. Lucy’s got a comedic flair, often turning everyday moments into laugh-out-loud adventures. And here’s her signature twist: Lucy rocks a cute, shorter tail, adding to her unique charm!

Much like her sitcom counterpart, Lucy thrives on attention and affection. She believes every visitor is her audience, so don’t be surprised if she dramatically flops over or “sings” you a tune in her sweet kitty voice. And while she may not have Ethel as a sidekick, she’d be happy to co-star with you in her new forever home.

If you’re looking for a cat that’s full of personality, charm, and a touch of Lucille Ball’s comedic genius, Lucy is ready to make your life a non-stop episode of joy and laughter!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
