My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

2-year-old Amy is a beautiful Labrador Retriever mix that is shy at first, but warms up once she realizes you are there to be her friend. Amy is a very gentle, sweet, curious, and calm girl. She was found as a frightened stray, but she is slowly learning to trust. Her fear still comes out when she meets new dogs, so a dog meet-up here at the shelter is recommended if you have a pet at home already. Can you give this sweet girl the safe and loving home she has never had?

Amy’s friends at J.R. Dunn Jewelers have kindly sponsored her adoption fee. If she sounds like she might be a good fit for you, please fill out a pre-adoption application at www.humanebroward.com and come to the shelter to meet her. The shelter is located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL and opens daily at 11 a.m. If you have any questions, please call 954-989-3977 ext. 6.
