Mia is a stunning 7-year-old black and white medium-haired cat with a personality as striking as her looks. She first came to the shelter as an owner surrender, arriving with a large lesion on her stomach caused by her weight. Thanks to the shelter’s care, the lesion was treated, and Mia found a loving home that went the extra mile, taking her to their vet for a full workup and skin biopsies. Unfortunately, her new family returned her after she became fractious following her vet visits. They felt it was in her best interest to come back to the shelter.
Mia is a fascinating little lady who keeps you on your toes! She loves to purr, rub against you, and soak up affection, until she’s decided she’s had enough, letting you know with a hiss or a swat. Her feisty, independent spirit has made her a staff favorite, and she can often be found wandering around the lobby, confidently greeting people (on her terms) and rubbing against their legs.
Due to her medical history and unique personality, Mia would thrive in a home that respects her boundaries and allows her to set the pace for interaction. Having lived her entire life indoors, she’s not suited for outdoor living and would do best in a comfortable, indoor environment. Mia gets along wonderfully with other cats and isn’t bothered by dogs, making her a great addition to a multi-pet household.
If you’re someone who appreciates a cat with a bit of sass and a lot of charm, Mia could be the perfect companion for you. She’s looking for a loving home where she can be herself and get the care and respect she deserves. Will you be the one to give this fascinating feline her happily ever after?
