Smidge is a beautiful tuxedo cat with striking black-and-white markings and a heart that just needs a little time to open up. This sweet, reserved girl came to us as a stray, and though she’s still a little scared of the world around her, her gentle nature and quiet charm shine through once she feels safe.
Smidge is a cat who may take a bit of time to adjust, but once she’s comfortable and trusts you, she has so much love to give. She’s a sensitive soul who appreciates a calm, quiet environment where she can slowly come out of her shell. Smidge isn’t one to seek out attention immediately, but with patience, kindness, and understanding, she’ll begin to show her true self—one soft purr, slow blink, and head tilt at a time.
Though she’s cautious, Smidge is a cat who thrives on routine and predictability. She enjoys having a cozy, secure space where she can retreat when she feels overwhelmed, and over time, she may even seek out affection when she’s ready. For Smidge, the key is allowing her the time and space she needs to feel safe and loved, without rushing her. Once she feels secure, she could become a loyal companion who’s content to be near you, whether it`s lounging quietly in the same room or gently curling up on your lap.
Smidge would do best in a patient, understanding home where she can have a quiet and secure environment to build confidence. She may not be the most outgoing cat right away, but with time and trust, she has the potential to form a deep bond with her people.
If you`re someone who understands the value of patience and is looking for a cat who will thrive with gentle care and love, Smidge may be the perfect match. She’s waiting for the right person who can offer her a safe space to heal and, in return, she’ll offer quiet moments of affection and companionship as she blossoms into the loving cat she was always meant to be.
